FAIRFORD AIRSHOW 2009 PAGE
Menu
We both managed to go on Saturday to Fairford's 2009 airshow & the
weather held to give us a very good show & a slight case of
sunburn. The static display was well set out allowing plenty of
room to walk round. Being now an "all ticket" event it did
not seem to lower the crowds & the planning of the early bird
car parks meant that no-one got stuck getting on & off the fields.
Now using a Panasonic DMC-FZ28 & a Fuji S5600 it allowed us both to
take some good flying shots as well as our usual static ones & some are
below.
Special thanks go to the Harrier boys for allowing us,
after seeing my wifes now infamous "harrier jacket", a close up
tour & talk about the harrier. We especially appreciated their time
when we found out there was to be no
actual display bar a fly past later on that day. Thanks also to the 711
S.O. squadron for the chat we had with the MC130 Talon team.
In 2014 we have updated the pictures to a larger size, added a few more & some post editing because we had to compress them to keep the file size small due to bandwidth & limited space with the original set.
