3RD SECTION :-BOTTOM BASE BUILDING

With using lubic parts the main & most important stage is planning, planning & more planning. Once you start fixing the channels it is a right pain to undo 1/2 of your work just because you have forgotten to put just one fixing point in.

If you get the base right then the rest will be a lot easier, so let go!  I am not using the wheels that come with kits as it make the case stand too high off the desk for my liking so I am using vibration dampening feet that I will put on later. The base will have normal brackets on the inside angles to help with the support. The easiest place to start was the RHS, as this needed less work, so I screwed one 448mm & 192mm length at right angles & fixed with a chrome bracket outside & a normal inside. I then put all the fixing bars where needed in the channels for the motherboard support & RHS inner panel that will hold the DVD drive, temperature display & I/O panels, then put the other 192mm channel in.

4TH SECTION :- DRIVE BAY PREPARATION

The system will use a "Thermaltake" drive bay holder, but it will be modified & painted to match the case, so I took off the fan & test fitted the channels that will support it. The frame was painted with grey "etch primer" then with the "Poseiden Blue" used before. I then fitted a silent 120mm fan & a 120 to 80mm adaptor as I intend to have the unit fixed to one of the front panels so the air to go straight through to it from outside the case.
